AP - Police in the central Illinois town of Buffalo apparently didn't need to do much gumshoe detective work to solve a church burglary after the suspect accidentally left his wallet at the scene.

The State Journal-Register of Springfield reports an 18-year-old suspect was arrested Thursday in the break-in two days earlier of the Fountain of Life Methodist Church.

Authorities say the suspect confessed he went into the church about 2:15 a.m. Tuesday and found a door unlocked, then entered the building and removed the church's office computer valued at $600.

Police say they found his wallet, containing identification, at the scene.
